San Jose Reviews

Comments and recommendations received on this Galapagos cruise:

Hello Francisco,

We had a really wonderful holiday. Everything went according to plan. The boat - the San Jose -was spacious and comfortable, and I will definitely be recommending it to anyone who asks. The staff were helpful and friendly.

The islands were fantastic, and we enjoyed the variety of flora and fauna on them.

The whole holiday went smoothly. We were collected from our hotel in Quito on time; the transfer to the boat went well, and at the end of our cruise we spent a few days in Puerto Ayora, and Columbus Travel arranged flight tickets for my friend and myself on different days, so that was awkward for them, and yet it all went to plan.

I'm not sure if I will be able to return to the Galapagos. I would like to visit Wolf Island on a dive boat, perhaps next year. Do you organise trips on liveaboard dive boats?

Anyway. Many thanks for your help in organising my holiday.

Hi, Maria.

We are still here. Heading home Tuesday.

The Galapagos trip was great. The boat was comfortable. Good food. We loved the guide, Freddie Vargas, and the rest of the staff was very helpful and friendly. After running into people at Bella Vista who had just left the San Juan and had airport stories, we can't thank you enough for that wonderful man at the airport who breezed us through.

He helped again us when we ran into him on our way to the Napo River.

We have one suggestion. We wish we had spent time (an extra day?) on Santa Cruz and taken a highland tour to see the tortoises. Also, because the the itineraries are set by the park, if you don't happen to get something you expected, a day trip might cover it. We were very happy with what we saw but that might be a suggestion to others.

Again, we can't thank you enough.

This is a wonderful country. Bella Vista and Mindo for birders was really worth the trip and the Sani Lodge was lovely (people/place/food). We are in Cuenca and very happy.

We will recommend you to everyone. Thanks,

Linda and Greg.
